“저희요? 안동당구연맹 동호인 선수단이에요”… 지역서 대회출전 등 지원

“모이세요. 저희 안동시당구연맹 동호인 선수단분들.”

인구(약 15만2000명) 대비 동호인당구가 활발한 경북 안동시에는 지역 연맹 소속 동호인 선수 30여명이 활약하고 있다.

이들이 18일 오후 ‘2024 안동하회탈배 전국 3쿠션 당구대회’ 현장서 기념촬영을 가졌다. ‘내고장’ 안동시에서 치러진 전국규모 대회가 낯설지만 참 반가웠던 그들이 한데 모인 것.

안동시는 대대 전용구장 2곳 포함, 대대 8대 규모 클럽 3곳을 품고 있다. 총 클럽 수는 15곳으로 파악된다. 이곳들이 바로 안동시 동호인당구계의 터전인 셈이다.

이 터전에서 활동중인 동호인 가운데 대회출전 의지가 높은 이들의 집합체가 바로 ‘안동시당구연맹 동호인 선수단’이다.

안동시당구연맹(회장 이창규) 측은 이 선수단의 단체전 제작·지원부터, 안동시체육회와 협의해 대회출전 경비까지 지원하고 있다.

또한, 선수단은 정기평가전을 통해 지역 내 클럽 간 교류전 형태로 큐를 겨루며, 친목을 도모하고 있다.
