또 다른 8강선 프랑스-미국, 베트남-벨기에, 스웨덴-일본이 대결한다.
한국-스페인 8강전은 24일 새벽 4시(한국시간) 예정됐다. ‘세계1위’ 조명우(서울시청, 실크로드시앤티)와 루벤 레가즈피(26위), 허정한(경남당구연맹, 세계14위)과 세르히오 지메네즈(188위)가 맞붙는다.
우리 대표팀은 지난 2017년~2018년 2년 연속 정상을 차지한 이후로 6년간 대회 정상에 오르지 못했다.
김행직과 허정한이 호흡을 맞춘 지난 대회서는 네덜란드에 패배하며 공동 5위에 머물렀다.
한편, ‘대회 4연패 도전’에 나선 튀르키예는 A조 3위에 그쳐 예선서 짐을 쌌다.
