경남 양산시 물금읍에 럭셔리 당구학원이 오픈했다. 서울도 아니고 부산도 아닌 양산시 물금읍에 무슨 당구학원이냐고 의아해하는 사람들이 많은 것도 사실이다. 하지만 자세히 들여다보면 양산시는 경남 교통의 요충지이며, 핵심상권의 중심지이다.
양산시 아래로는 부산광역시과 김해시, 위로는 밀양시과 울산광역시로 둘러싸여 있어 양산까지의 거리는 30분에서 1시간이면 충분한 거리다. 물금은 일개 읍에 불과하지만 양산택지개발지구의 중심으로 인구가 무려 12만명인 전국 최대의 행정동이다. 앞으로 인구가 더욱 늘어날 것으로 전망된다.
양산시 물금읍 상업지역 중심의 KJ플러스빌딩 6층에 자리 잡은 헤세드당구센터는 최고의 시설과 체계적인 컬리큐럼을 갖추고 당구를 배우려는 수강생을 맞을 준비를 끝냈다. 전국에서 당구를 배우려는 희망자들은 많지만, 딱히 체계적인 시스템과 수강시설을 갖추고 있는 곳은 매우 드물다.

이동한 원장은 “2017년 처음 큐를 잡고 부산 재야의 실력자인 이근용 사부께 기초부터 레슨으로 시작하였습니다. 그렇게 3년 가까이 사사 받고 동호인대회 우승도 경험한 후 선수등록을 해서 활동하다 보니 ”아! 내가 당구를 너무 늦게 배웠구나.“라는 자책이 들었습니다.
어린 나이부터 체계적으로 배워야 하는 게 당구라는 걸 느낀 거죠. 그래서 3년 전부터는 양산시체육회 유소년당구교실에서 꿈나무들을 지도하면서 본격적인 당구아카데미 개설을 꿈꾸게 되었습니다.”라며 ‘헤세드당구센터’ 탄생의 배경을 설명했다.
헤세드당구센터는 유소년당구교실 학생, 주부반, 일반부, 선수부, 대학진로반 등 다양한 수강생들이 당구를 체계적으로 배우기 위한 적합한 시설을 갖추고 있다. 특히 이론과 실기를 병행해서 배울 수 있는 커리큐럼을 갖추고 있고, 이동한 대표강사 외에 최진재 실장(경남연맹 선수), 그리고 상담전문 한송이 이사 등 전문인력을 갖추고 있다.
약 100여평의 실내에 국제식대대 5대와 포켓볼 3대를 갖춘 헤세드당구센터는 심플하고 우아한 인테리어과 편의성을 최대한 고려한 설계를 거쳐 완성되었다. 특히 프라이빗룸은 1:1 개인레슨에 꼭 필요한 강의실을 갖추고 있어 여성들의 선호도가 매우 높다고 한다.
