5일 오후, ‘제1회 구미시장배 전국동호인 당구대회’ 일반부 예선(핸디별 1~4부 토너먼트)이 모두 종료되면서 본선 32강 진출자가 모두 가려졌다.
32강 진출자들이 직접 추첨한 16강 대진결과, 7명이 본선에 합류한 대구는 공교롭게도 4명의 선수가 16강 길목에서 맞붙게 됐다.
‘대구 선수간 16강 매치는 이성배(대구SK,핸디17)-정진욱(대구캐롬,18), 임규성(대구DMA,18)-문상훈(대구YG,20) 동호인 대결로 예정됐다.
부산 소속 본선진출자 7명 중에는 박재원(부산 로드,19)-황성민(부산 BMC,21) 동호인이 대결하게 됐다.
구미 소속 동호인은 6명이 본선에 올라 개최지의 자존심을 지켰다. 이어 서울 동호인 4명, 경기·경북 동호인 2명, 대전·인천·경남·강원 동호인 1명씩 32강행을 확정지었다.
