보호선수 3명 휴온스, 지명권 1라운드 1순위
2순위 웰컴저축은행…’우승팀’ 하나카드, 전원 보호선수
‘우리금융캐피탈’도 블루원 선수단 전원 보호선수

오는 14일 드래프트를 앞둔 PBA팀리그 구단들이 보호선수와 방출명단을 발표했다.
PBA(프로당구협회∙총재 김영수)는 9일 오후 2024-25시즌 프로당구 PBA 팀리그에 참가하는 9개 팀들의 보호선수 및 방출선수 명단을 발표했다.
PBA 팀리그 구단들은 드래프트에 앞서 보호선수∙방출선수 명단을 PBA사무국에 제출한다. 보호선수 규정은 남자, 여자 구분 없이 최소 3명 이상의 선수를 보호 선수로 지정해야 한다.
9개 팀 가운데 휴온스와 웰컴저축은행은 보호선수 인원을 최소(3명)로 지정, 선수단 개편을 예고했다. 반면 지난 시즌 우승, 준우승팀 하나카드와 SK렌터카, 이번 시즌 새롭게 합류해 블루원리조트 선수단을 승계한 우리금융캐피탈은 팀 전원을 보호선수로 묶었다. 이밖에 에스와이가 4명, 하이원리조트와 크라운해태가 5명, NH농협카드가 6명을 보호선수로 지정했다.
드래프트는 보유 선수 인원이 적은 팀, 지난 시즌 포스트시즌 최종 순위 역순(포스트시즌 미진출 팀은 정규리그 순위 역순)부터 지명 권리를 행사한다. 이에 따라 정규리그 최종 정규리그 9위를 차지한 휴온스가 1라운드(보유선수 3명) 1순위로 지명권을 갖게 됐다. 2순위는 역시 3명을 묶은 웰컴저축은행(정규리그 공동 6위)이 행사하게 됐다.
1라운드 선수지명을 통해 4명을 채우는 휴온스와 웰컴저축은행이 2라운드서도 1,2순위로 지명을 행사하고, 이어 보호선수를 4명 지정한 에스와이(포스트시즌 5위)가 3순위로 선수를 지명하게 된다.
이어 3라운드(5명 보유)에 하이원리조트와 크라운해태가 합류해 선수지명을 진행하고 4라운드(6명 보유)에는 NH농협카드와 SK렌터카를 끝으로 전원 7명의 선수 구성을 완료한다. 팀의 최소 선수구성(7명)을 충족한 이후 진행되는 5라운드부터의 선수 지명은 선택사항이며 지명 1순위는 지난 시즌 포스트시즌 우승팀 하나카드부터 갖는다.
이번 드래프트를 통해 각 팀은 최소 7명 이상의 선수를 보유해야하며, 남자 선수 4명 이상, 여자 선수 2명 이상으로 구성해야 한다. 또 최소 2명 이상의 외국인 선수를 의무로 보유해야 한다.
또 개인투어 포인트 랭킹 상위 64위 이내 선수들만 드래프트 대상 선수로 분류됐던 지난 시즌과 달리, PBA-LPBA투어 등록 선수 전원을 지명할 수 있도록 범위가 확대됐다. 큐스쿨 통과 선수의 경우 원 소속구단에 한해 등록 정원을 충족한 이후 지명이 가능했으나 이번 드래프트부터는 1라운드부터 모든 구단이 지명 가능할 수 있게 됐다.
이로써 팀 구성 준비를 마친 각 구단들은 오는 14일 오후 2시30분부터 서울 중구 한국프레스센터에서 ‘2024-25시즌 PBA 팀리그 드래프트’를 열고 선수지명 행사를 실시할 예정이다.
